    If you're looking for Tab to help you, then you really should check at least the Talkbass tab archive first - I've been very kind and put a link in to the song you want :rolleyes:

    If you've seen the Tab and now want to know how to play it, you might find another forum, such as General Instruction, more helpful. I don't know the song myself, but based on what I have heard by Les Claypool, I'd reckon it's going to be pretty wacky :cool:

  3. I think he asked how to play it because every tab out there for it is wrong... ive even heard that the tabs in the official primus anthology book doesn't sound right... this seems to be the case with most primus songs as well as everything else.

    I've heard a few Primus albums, and agree with Wulf - although I would add it's often not the actual pitches of the notes but Claypool's rhythmic approach that makes it distinctive - something that isn't going to come across well in Tab!

    OK, gonna try and tab this out for you on the spot. I don't have the song here so bear with me, this is just a rough idea.

        v    v  ^ v ^  v       ^  v
    G |-15---15-x-x-15-15h1715-15-15-|
    D |-14---14-x-x-14-14------14-14-|
    A |-15---15-x-x---------------15-|
    E |------------------------------|
        ^ v  ^ v  ^ ^     v  ^
    G |-x-15-x-15-x-15----15-15----|
    D |-x-14-x-14-x-12/13-13-13/14-|
    A |-x-15-x-15-x(15)--(15)------|
    E |----------------------------|
    EDIT: Oh yeah... forgot:
        v  ^  v  ^ v  ^  v  ^ v  ^  v  ^ v  ^ v  ^
    G |-12-12-12-x-12-12-12-x-12-12-12-x-11-x-11-x-|
    D |-11-11-11-x-11-11-11-x-11-11-11-x-10-x-10-x-|
    A |-12-12-12-x-12-12-12-x-12-12-12-x-11-x-11-x-|
    E |--------------------------------------------|
        v  ^  v  ^ v  ^  v  ^ v  ^  v  ^ v  ^  v ^
    G |-12-12-12-x-12-12-12-x-12-12-12-x-11-11-x-11-|
    D |-11-11-11-x-11-11-11-x-11-11-11-x-10-10-x-10-|
    A |-12-12-12-x-12-12-12-x-12-12-12-x-11-11-x-11-|
    E |---------------------------------------------|
        v  ^  v  ^ v  ^  v  ^ v  ^  v  ^ v  ^  v
    G |-12-12-12-x-12-12-12-x-12-12-12-x-11-11-11-|
    D |-11-11-11-x-11-11-11-x-11-11-11-x-10-10-10-|
    A |-12-12-12-x-12-12-12-x-12-12-12-x-11-11-11-|
    E |-------------------------------------------|
    v = Strum Down
    ^ = Strum Up
    h = Hammer-On
    p = Pull Off
    Now this isn't exact, I know it isn't, and it's just a smidgen of what he does, but it gives you an idea. I don't even think Les knows what he's playing really hahah.

    The slap stuff is kinda like...

    G |-6\---------------------x-----|
    D |-6\-----------------------x---|
    A |----0-h5-5-5h6-x-5--------x---|
    E |-------------------h6-x---x-x-|
    G |-6\--------------------------|
    D |-6\--------------------------|
    A |----0-h5-5-5h6-x-5-----------|
    E |-------------------h7-7-6-3\-|
    Try that.
