What's the deal with Curbow Fretlesses?

  1. I played one of these once, and having no fretless or upright experience, I had no problem. The tone was INCREDIBLE, tons of MMMMWWWAHHH. And they're cheap, going for about $300 or so on eBay right now. What gives? Oh, yeah, and I'm talking the Cort Curbows, even.

I played one of those back before Mars went under and really liked it. Of course I like just about anything with 6 strings(as long as it's set up to play) so my vote doesn't count.

I haven't ever played a Cort Curbow, but my XT-33 is a wonderful wonderful wonderful bass!

I'll second that one! Hate to put mine down! I haven't had the chance to play a fretless Cort Curbow but from my experience with a fretted 5 and 6 I can say that they are a really good value.
