Ive played a few Ibanez BTBs and Ive always noticed that they have these strange blue and silver strings on them. They feel really weird... can someone explain what they are and why they are that way? are replacement ones sold?

they are two diffrent metals alternately wound. Steel and Copper(the blue). Copper is softer....
you can prolly replace them with any strings u like.

I believe you can order them through an Ibanez dealer, but I am not sure who makes them. I like them just because they look pretty cool. Couldn't comment on their sound though.

i had the same question a couple of weeks ago. I tried them out the other day. I wasn't overly impressed with the sound, but they look real cool. I like strings to have a little play with them, and these strings were kindas stiff, dunno. They also sounded kinda sterile. These are just my opinions, but i wasn't a big fan of them.
