  1. i've been playing for a year and a half now... with the same set of strings. i've finally decided its time to change them ..not because they are flat, just i want something new. i want to get some stainless steel ernie ball slinkys but i dont know what the difference between them is.. regular, super, extra, hybrid? can anyone tell me what the difference between them is? also i was thinking of a smaller guage and i dont know what guage is standard guage... i want one step smaller than standard if ya know what i mean.. if anyone could answer what that is it would help me alot.

I think in the case of Ernie Ball strings, the name preceding "Slinky" -
"Regular", "Hybrid", "Extra" - actually refers to the string gauges.

You may wanna' look into the Extra or Super Slinky's if you
want somethin' on the lighter side :).

"Earthwood" ?!? Who let that guy in here? :p
