  1. A 12" pizza can feed a family of four!

This one is usually told with "trombonist."

The 12" pizza isn't an elitist snob that thinks jazz is the only worthy form of music?

That's not fair. There are plenty of jazz bassists (and other musicians) who crossed over, and just as many rock musicians who were snobs about their own genre.

This reminds me of the ever-classic joke "How do you get a drummer off your front porch? You pay him for the pizza!"

  11. I want a pizza now.

Some would argue that a jazz bassist could feed more than a family of 4...

A 12" pizza won't tell you "You're eating me wrong."

  15. LOL maybe with 2 children under 5..... I could eat a 12" pizza single handed....

You'd need one 12" pizza per person with my family.

Any pizza is a personal pizza if you try hard and believe in yourself!

  18. What's the difference between a musician and a savings bond?

Eventually, the savings bond matures and makes money.

Hey! No fair changing the metaphor! We're not done beating up on jazz bassists yet. :bassist:

    >What's the difference between a 12" pizza and a jazz bassist?

A handmade, boutique 12" pizza doesn't cost $5,000 if you order one with "exotic toppings". (But if you can convince a jazz bassist that it will improve his playing, he'll pay that much for it.) ;)
