....a three year old, MINT Warwick Thumb 5 NT?
I'll bid one dollar, Bob.
I'm not selling one you losers, I'm asking cause I'm thinkin of buying one.....jerks.
Then I guess the better question is how much YOU would pay.
Or how much he should pay.
I'm guessing that bass is worth about $1,500 or so.
I'd say closer to $900ish. Even the <98 wenge neck models go for $1100-1300 depending on condition an options. I see late 80s/early 90s Thumb 5s go for about $1200 on ebay, and post 98 ones go for around $900 (give or take based on condition). For $1500, you could get one new.
Erk, edit- That's Thumb B/Os. I'm not sure about the N/Ts. And come to think of it, this was a while ago, I' m not sure what the Warwick market is like these days.
I've usually seen them go for anywhere between $1400 - $1700
And the bidder who was closest to the marked resail value is...
What's the question?
How much would I pay?
How much should he pay?
How much is it worth?
How much would we, collectively, pay, if each of us contributed to such a thing?
Fuggit, four bucks, that's it, tops, for all those questions.
the i am but a loser,
They'd have to pay me.
Ok, there seems to be some confusion here. I sold my Thumb 4 a couple weeks ago, but I miss that tone so i'm looking to buy a NT Thumb 5. The one I found is really nice, and I want it pretty badly, but I don't want to pay too much. So my question is, what you YOU be willing to pay for said bass if you were in my position. Thanks a lot...
Well, how much are they asking? What condition is it in? Case? Condition of case? Reliable seller, close by, or a risky long-distance transaction?
All of these affect how much I am willing to pay for an instrument . . .
I'll outbid Bovine and go $4.51!
Yeah, that's right, Mr. Deep Pockets has just thrown it down, man. You're out of the running now.
but I don't want one of those....."I got mine, don't worry 'bout his."
It's in perfectly MINT condition, it does come with a case that is also in great condition, and it is located here in the US....
