whats up wit me bass

    i just got me bass a couple of days ago and i noticed that when i play it i get a rattling sound i ain't sure what it is but if sum one could tell me how to stop it i would be grateful :confused:

    Either learn to pull the strings softer, or raise the strings a little.
  3. where did you get the bass? generally, if it's a lower-priced bass [especially through mail order] you should make it habit to sight the neck to determine if an adjustment is needed. that was the reason my new bass was buzzing.

    Make sure your tuners are tight and that the strings are properly wound down low on the posts.
  5. Could be a couple of things. Are your saddles too low? Is the bass setup? Are you holding the string down hard enough? Find out which one it is and fix the problem. That easy.

    I once had impure thoughts. Oh, and I pluck my ear hair.
    Check the nut as well. I've seen instances where that was the problem.
