What's up with nord?

    Do they typically take 3 weeks to ship?

    I got my last set of custom pickups in barely over a week. This time around we are at the 3 week mark with no shipping info.

    Do they do small runs or something ?
    Not complaining at all. Just curious.

    I'm so confused. My title reads "what's up with nord"
    I never mentioned north. Am I missing something here?

    But yeah, I imagine they do work in batches. Most small builders seem to, but I don’t know about Nord (or if they’re considered small).

    I know they do build orders as they come in. They say that on the website. I've waited as long as four weeks, because of the number of orders they had on the bench. But usually 2-3 weeks.

    Worth the wait. Never a delay or miscommunication.

    Thanks. It was my understanding mine were getting the wax applied mid week last week. I assumed that was close to , if not the, final step.

    Are you talking about Nordstrand? If so they're about the friendliest, most easy to work with company I work with - give 'em a call. I've done a few one-off orders with them (different wiring, etc) and they're usually shipped in 2 or 3 weeks, but if they get a lot of orders, it might take longer. They're a pretty small operation, but very good at what they do.

    Yes Nordstrand. I had to return some pickups that were interacting poorly with my bass. They have been great to deal with. I just hate to keep bothering them. I expected about 2 weeks due to custom cover size. Only reason I asked is last time I dont receive shipping info. They just showed up.

    They have people that cover their phones - their job is to be bothered. So long as you're not calling every day, I'm sure they'd be happy to talk with you - they'd rather have that than an unhappy customer.

    Definitely not unhappy. Just curious about other peoples wait times.

    Wait times fluctuate for sure. We have an estimate that gets emailed to you with your confimation. If you called in an order, they would have given you an estimate. We don't carry much stock. Because we carry so many different variations, most everything is built to order, but sometimes we might have something in stock. If we do, we usually ship within a day. If you ordered online, you should get an email tracking if it shipped. (check your junk mail!) Most everything goes out USPS priority. Send me your order number and I will check.

    My last contact said they'd be finished early next week. That was June 7th. Which means they would have possibly shipped middle of last week. I'll give it a of more couple days. Adrian has been consistent in getting back to me.
    I'd give you the order number but I don't have one. I made a return and just told him/her what I wanted for the replacement. I know its been processed because the balance for the cost difference between the dual coils and big singles has been returned to my account.
    If I havent heard anything by tomorrow I'll just shoot Adrian an email. Thanks.
