    Yep. It is a real Fender. They were only made a few years in the 90s. Fender made them that way because of "better balance and access to the first few frets". Some claim it really is balanced better and you really can reach the outer frets better. I have really long arms and huge hands so I never noticed a difference.

    But is is a legit Fender bass if that's what you're asking. It is known far and wide as "the boner bass".
