Whos knows anything about trace elliot cabs, and would they recomend them. I'm looking to buy 2X10 and a 15" (not sure if its the 1518 or the 1518c), but I'd like to know more about em and if they're good.
  2. I love their heads, especially the tube ones. I am not impressed with their cabs.

I love their cabs. I have played the 1048, 1524, 1518, 1153, and the 4052H cabs. I currently own all but the 1048 and 1153.

My least favorite is the 1518. It is the larger of the two 1x15 cabs. IMO, it is muddy compared to the 1153. It sounds like most old school 1x15's and I like the more punchy and defined tone of the 1153. It is still a good cab though or I wouldn't own one. :)
  4. The Best cab I have ever played through was,a TRACE ELLIOT 2x15, I dont know the model number and, it was an old one But,WOW!!Keep in mind I own 2 AMPEGS so.......:eyebrow:

Gotta luv trace. I use our churches 300w 2x10 + horn combo amp when I don't feel like lugging my own stuff, and believe it or not, it will fill the 2000 seat sancutary while backing a full 100 person choir. Wouldn't try that for "real music" tho :)

Or, do what I did and go Ashdown. When Trace sold out, some of the original guys started Ashdown, and predictably they sound very similar imho.
