My rig consist of the following:
    Stingray 5
    EBS Comp Compressor pedal.
    Demeter HBP-1 Preamp
    QSC RMX2450 Power amp
    Furman Power Conditioner
    2 x Aggie GS112's running at 500 watts a side at 8 hms.

This rig should be kicking ass but I just don't like my sound. My biggest complaint is that my bass just doesn't cut through the mix and is not loud enough. Adding the EBS Compressor helped alot but I'm still lacking that "bass in your face" sound.

I'm contemplating putting the QSC and Demeter for sale and getting an used all tube Ampeg CL or SVT2. I think what my thing is that I'm looking for warmth instead of hi-fi. I would like to get the Aggie DB 750 but too expensive.

I second to boost the mids suggestion.

I did that with my amp and it worked wonders.

Your Demeter might not be sending a strong enough signal to the QSC which might be the problem in the volume catagory.

I'll be a heretic and state the obvious:

You're expecting too much from your cabs. Before you get rid of any other component, take your rack to a dealer and test it out through a bunch of cabs, particularly, SWR Goliath, Eden 410XLT, or my fave the Aguilar 410. I think you'll be surprised.
