It's the time of year where Christmas music gets you in the spirit, as opposed to by the time Christmas finally rolls around and you can't stand it anymore. I'm just curious, what's your favorite Christmas music?
    Here are my picks...
Album - definitely Vince Guaraldi's "A Charlie Brown Christmas"
Song - David Bowie and Bing Crosby's "Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth"

I know this is going to sound lame. But I really dig Band Aid's "Do they know it's Christmas" & "Christmas Wrapping" by the Waitresses.

That's not as lame as one of my favorites ..... The first Christmas album by the Carpenters .... :bag:

    Also:

Ella's "Ella Wishes You a Swinging Christmas"
    Joe Pass "6-String Santa"
Temptations 1st Christmas album (forgot the name)
    Jimmy Smith "Christmas Cooking"

    .... and there's a bunch of others ......

Burl Ives' Christmas album. I am driven to tears by Holly Jolly Christmas . Burl the Pearl. The world is a sad place without that man.

I think I like Bruce Cockburn's Christmas CD most of all. It came out about 12 years ago. After that, my favorites are A Charlie Brown Christmas and the Jethro Tull Christmas album.

No man, just way too busy these past 3-4 weeks ......

cabinet is smoking .... sounds soooo good with my plain-jane Hartke head. Just did an 8 piece funk band job with only the D210XLT, no problems ..... left that heavy-mutha 410 at home .....

Cool. BTW, the sh*t hit the fan at the gig saturday night. I told Dale that I was done rehearsing anything until he and Kevin got their meter problems fixed. I told them both to spend 2 weeks practicing with a metronome and we'll come back and try it again. We sounded like a** saturday night because neither one of them can keep steady time. I'm tired of reigning them in on every friggin' song. It's just not fun to have to work that hard to keep a groove steady on a goddamn 3 chord song.

Sorry for the thread jack everyone, back to the topic at hand.

I'm with some of the others here. For me it has to be A Charlie Brown Christmas and the Jethro Tull Christmas Album. With honorable mention to all 3 GRP Christmas CD's, especially the first one. :)
