I have had some really good Cannoli Italian ice which i would say is my favorite but not to far behind is mint, pastachio and Coffee.Whats your favorites?.
I've never had real Italian ice, which is a shame..I'm 75% Italian . Although I have had frozen lemons at a Italian resturant, think they called it a sorbet? It was delicious. As for the local ice cream shop italian ice, I chose cherry or lemon.
Well, you're in Virginia...no surprise, I know how you feel. Man, do I ever miss the daze when I lived in south Philly...after dinner, street vendors would walk done the street selling Italian Water Ice(that's what we called it). Back then the flavours were pretty limited- Lemon Cherry Chocolate Vanilla ...I think that's about it. Lemon was cool 'cause it had actual lemon rind chunks in it. And then there were the pretzel vendors. Maybe it's good we moved here...I would probably be as big as house had we stayed there.
I've had a Lime italian ice that tasted rather like a lemon lime slugh puppy, only not as sugary. I like strawberry too.
I like the stuff they sometimes call "almond", and other times "marzipan", not sure exactly what it is, but it sure is good.
