All you Warwick owners out there. What's your favorite model and why. How bout some stories from the field. This is definitely a pro Warwick thread. I've got a Thumb 4 Bolt-On which is a 99' model with an all Wenge neck and a brass Adjust-A-Nut I

my FAVORITE would be the dolphin 5string. i WILL own one of those bad boys...and yes i HAVE played one.

second place though, my very own thumb 5string neck thru. wa hoo.

  5. My favorite Warwick (that I can afford) is the Corvette Standard 5-string. mmmmm :D I love that thing. Next time I go to GC, i'm going to try out the streamer Stage I and II's and the Thumbs.

are the neck thru's really that much less common than the bolt ons?

They are more expensive which could account for it. The bolt ons are IMHO good value for money. I paid £600 s/h (local shop) ($900) which for UK prices is about right.

i'm guessing the same or worse, depending on body style. i think a 5 or 6 string thumb would be the worst: small body, 7 piece neck, etc...

I have a Thumb Bolt On 5 and an FNA 5. I can't decide between them which is why I have both.I feel that the Thumb is great for fingerstyle and the FNA kills for slap, but either one can work both ways. The neck on the FNA is rounder than the Thumb which has a "D" shape, but I feel comfortable playing both. Each one has personality which is a plus for me.

    Mine is a Zon!:p

Seriously, I like the Streamer Stage I a lot, with Barts or EMGs, but of course, you can get a USA Spector, which is even better IMHO.

5156246, I love the look of the Infinity(which is over a year old now, BTW, not really new;)) but have you ever actually played one?

I have never seen one in a shop.

The Streamer LX5 thats in my room is the Warwick I adore the most.

other than my natural finished LX I would really like a Streamer Jazzman 5.

can't really comment on the neck-thru models because I never got to try any. maybe it's better that way so my Streamer remains my "numero uno".

Yes, because Warwick is German and I live in germany :)

The sound is awesome, very Warwick-like.
Though I think the instrument is too expensive. I played custom made basses that sound better for the same price.

But these are just MY ears... maybe other people like the Warwick more than I do.

Cool! Somebody wh has actually played an Infinity in person!

I agree that they are overpriced, but then so is the new Lakland hollowbody electric too.

    Beautiful basses though.
  20. My favorite Warwick is a Spector :D, Which of course was ripped off by Warwick......
