Wheel damage

Discussion in 'Basses [DB]' started by Bill Lance, Aug 29, 2001.

  1. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the use of a bass wheel causing the endpin socket to loosen in their bass. I have a laminated bass (made in the 1940's - nothing special), and it has a fairly small endpin (5/16" diameter). I'm a little nervous about using a wheel and possibly damaging the bass. Any thoughts or problems from anyone? Thanks.....

  2. I have used wheels for years; never a problem. I have never heard of anyone else that had any problems. Go for it.
