...[you fill in the blank]
I call Becca. Talking to Becca seems to brighten up my day more than anything else. Becca is my girlfriend if you couldn't guess that.
Sleep is also a good alternative. When I sleep, I don't think about all if lifes problems.
Or I play bass or tuba. Tuba more when sad. It takes so much concentration and involves so much of my mind and body, I can't think about being sad.
-Listen to Radiohead, Sigur Ros or Daft Punk
-Read a Terry Pratchett book
-Play bass...or mandolin
-Listen to music
listen to radiohead
dont talk much
when i do talk.. talk to close friends
mastur.... oh come on someone had to!
i dont do anything. I deal with it... much to the disappointment/annoyance to the girlfriend... Although she is great at working em out.
Doing nothing and just sitting there is sadness isn't dealing with it IMO. Dealing with it would be talking to someone who can help, or doing something to clear your mind, like all of the things above.
Many times, solutions to problems and such can be found when you aren't even thinking about it at all.
For instance, last night, I was really upset over a problem with some friends. I stopped thinking about it and practiced tuba. When I was done, the sadness never came back, and I was able to see all sides of the issue, and I was able to get over it becasue I understood it.
Kinda confusing, but I think you get my point.
im never sad...
more like in neutral mode all the time or finding fun stuff to do but I rarely find myself depressed over something
<-------Shiny Happy People
i'm in the same boat as dave...
i can get really happy about stuff (for a little while)
but i'm pretty much always in a neutral, apathetic state of mind (in a good way)
- Work out
- Play with my bunny
- Call my girlfriend
Pick one, they all work for me.
Talk to Debbie.
Just ignore it and hope it goes away. Bottling feelings up accomplishes many great things.
I go grab the bass.
Surf the Web
and I don't talk
"THC: We kill more neurochemical receptors by 8:00 than most people do all day."
I sit around, then when I realize I'm being pathetic, I do something I enjoy.
-take care of the house
-clean the car
-do something to the bike
Otherwise, I drop out. if it's something in particular that's making me sad, I just put it outta my mind. No probs.
-last resort, cyanide pills
when Im happy I play
sad I play
anything I PLAY
I was gonna say that...
But here's my other list:
-Listen to music
-Play the bass/guitar/drums... whatever is around
-Go outside for a walk
-Break stuff (just for when I'm angry, like right now)
