I do, I think it is a beauty.
If it also plays and sounds great... just keep playing it!
Sound like it's definitely time to buy another backup, so you can leave the prized "new number one" safely at home...
I can’t see any curvature to the frets, but if there is you might want to exercise a bit of precaution in regards to string choice and slapping etc. because they might be a bitch to replace. A 3 ply beveled guard would be a big improvement imo.
As a backup for this
Now the Fender doesn't come out much.
As soon as I saw the pics you were the first person I thought of.
My Mustang P/J became my main player for the past year. I own lots of basses that cost me 4X as much as that did.
Its only now being outdone by a MIA Performer Mustang.
I'd daresay an EMG-loaded FGN Jazz is at least as good as any $1-2k axe on the market. They've been at this a long time, are an OEM builder for lots of famous brands, and are just damn good axes. I mean, how often do you see one-piece necks? These guys are GOOD . . . . . .

OP...yes...my current main squeeze was an inexpensive pawn shop find...it’s a 2007 Highway One P - Bass.
Congrats on your MIJ find (Emg’s Are very underrated imo)
And here I thought CFS meant chicken fried steak...
Nice bass you got there.
I've got seven basses from a Hofner Beatle bass to a p-bass to a couple of custum Carvin 5-strings (which I LOVE). However, lately this has become my main player:
bought off CL for $120, plays like a dream, and sounds awesome with the TV Jones Thunderblade I installed.
ps: pickup cost more than the bass...lol
