when to use

    i recently just got an ibanez pd-7 phat hed pedal. i just wanted some tips on when a bass player should use an effect in a song but not overwhelm it with effects. :bassist:

    Only my personal opinion - I have used effects in the past, but now I would never use them on bass - for guitar and keyboards - yes - bass, never. ;)

    I prefer his live, clean sound. Like on Shadows and Light and WR Live and Unreleased.

    I use effects in songs when it is musically appropriate. I also use effects in a song when it is musically inappropriate.
