Does anybody know when the Duncan SPB-3 was introduced? My best guess would be somewhere in the 80's.
I know Seymour got the idea of using 1/4 inch pole pieces from an old Schecter monstertone pickup.

I think I remember reading something about them being released in the early/mid 80s? I want to say 1982-1985ish but I don't have anything to back that up. I think they were released early in the aftermarket race where you had three main names: EMG, Dimarzio, and Seymour Duncan. I believe that Duncan's big thing at the time were the quarter pound series. I'm interested to figure this out as well.
