I've been on the hunt for a used SVT for a little while. In my search, I've found many for sale, but very few from the 1990's. Was the SVT not a very good-selling head in the '90's?

On the contrary...the 90's is when the SVT made its big comeback.

Have any idea why they don't come up for sale very often? I have a '90's 810E that a '90's SVT would compliment. :smug:

Probably because people who have them know what they've got and are waiting for all the Vietnam era classics to fall apart before they sell so the prices will go up.

I've been contemplating selling my mid 1990s SVT CL (and protective cover/bag) since I don't use it much any more due to few rooms/stages large enough to warrant it...that, and my aging body isn't real keen on lugging it around anymore. Trust me, this is not something that I can part with too easily...but...I could part with it nonetheless.

They are all in my basement. As soon as one goes up for sale, I send out the flying monkeys....

I sold a SLM CL recently for $999 locally. Came and went as I preferred the 80's MTI instead. Which I also sold recently. Was a fun, but VERY heavy experiment. :)

I bought it and love it. Been hauled in a John Deere gator that was full of landscape gear at an outdoor show , played it for six shows at Myrtle Beach bike week and hauled in and out of the Longbranch in the rain. Great amp , thanks Gastric.
