I decided to look for some afrobeat books, and - I can't find a single one.

Huh? No Afrobeat bass books in the universe?

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but it's the best book I know for African music

Well, Afrobeat is a pretty niche style so it's not surprising to me that there are no books entirely devoted to it (it's difficult enough to find books on any African styles, period). Our own @MixBass has, however, been working on something so maybe he can help you out.

I understand it's a bit niche, but, not one book in the universe? Makes me sad actually.

Following ChrisDev's lead, have you tried searching in French for la basse africaine?

There is some kind of irony in someone of European decent looking for a book about how to play African music.

I mean no offense. Just pointing out how enculturation really dictates how we approach certain situations.
  7. Amazon, among others, has it.
    Not exactly cheap.
