Where can I get jack clips?

Discussion in 'Amps, Mics & Pickups [DB]' started by bassbuddy, Aug 3, 2005.

  1. I've got an older Realist, and somehow lost the little plastic clip that holds the jack against the tailpiece under the G string. David Gage was nice enough to send a replacement at no charge, but they must have changed components because it's too big to fit the existing jack. I also just got a Rev Solo, and the clip thay provided is too SMALL for their jack (and of course the one I got for the Realist doesn't fit either!).

Does anyone know if these things are generally stocked in any kind of store that's likely to be available locally? Radio Shack? Hardware?

Wrap electrical tape around the jack to make it fit. I use the Realist jack holder with my FullCircle and this is what I did.

You could make the clip from just about any flexible material.

I just put an older realist that I had as a spare on
my bass. Since I purchased a new backup from Lemur,
I can tell you that your guess was correct, they changed
the jack because they had problems with them.
I have a spare since mine is fine. PM me with an
address and I'll just mail it to you.
