where can i score a clear bass

  1. ive been wanting a clear bass for some time now and i could never find one. i was just wondering if yous guys could help me out with mabye some companies that make a clear bass. and by clear i mean the body is clear ha!:confused:

    Check with your local Ampeg dealer(s). They probably won't have one in stock, but they can order one. Only thing is that it's short-scale. I can't remember exact, but I believe retail new is $1500-$2000. I believe Bass Palace had one recently. An older Dan Armstrong. Other than that, check ebay and the classifieds for Ampeg, Dan Armstrong, B.C. Rich, and that's all I can think of at the moment.
     
  3. You see the Ampeg Dan Armstrongs around quite a bit. I've seen a number on ebay and in stores--both old and reissue.
    No idea as to how they sound though.

    They actually sound pretty craptastic, but definitely distinctive.

    Sandberg makes them too. Don't sound too bad either. The guys in Rammstein uses them :D
