So it would appear that the original thread is gone or inaccessible, so I'm starting a new one! Don't know what number we're at, so if you could check in, that's be great. Had someone want to join but didn't know the number! Include your flavor of Buddhism if you like!

Sorry man, I consider myself a Taoist.
  3. I'm in.

    Zen, Vipassana, Shambhala.

Do the rest of you think of music as an awareness practice or a form of meditation? I totally do.

I'm working on becoming a practicing Buddhist. I'm reading "Buddhism for Beginners" and I bought a Dharma book today. For a while I've thought that Buddhism is the only religion that makes any sense in the world, but only recently have I begun to seriously try to become Buddhist.

I'm not a practicing Buddhist, but my mother is at least to some extent, and I can definitely appreciate it as a belief set (although I wouldn't call it a religion). So, put me down for whatever that counts for.

there's already one of these in the Lobby, which is presumably why the OP hasn't found it.

    theres nothing in the Lobby:

"There have been no posts in the last 30 days in this forum."

The sound of no hands clapping

I take that back, I did see a rather dead looking fern in the corner...

XigXag...unless you are a Supporting Member, that is how the Lobby will look to you.

Religion discussions do carry on in the Lobby, but are not allowed in Off Topic.

i don't know if this would be considered a religious discussion, per se.. just a club!

And that would explain why I can't see my own post now.. hrm.....

Curious as to why this club was relegated to the Lobby, but Praise and Worship Club isn't?
  15. I always wondered that myself, and figured it was basically because praise and worship is for bassists who play gospel, Jesus rock, etc....so more of a genre than a religion
