Hi, im building a bass this summer and its going to be loaded with a pair of fatstacks. I was wondering what dealer should i get my nordies from or can i even get them direct from carey? Also does any company have a better price than the others?

You'll probably get a bunch of PM's from dealers just for posting this thread :p

I would like to get my pups from blueberry hill because its within driving distance but they quoted the fat stacks costing $203, while this site i found on the dealer page is cheaper. http://www.guitareffectspedals.com/basssignature.html $189 with free shipping. Do you think blueberry would match that price?

    Hi Linas,
The difference between the two prices is due to state sales tax. While I ship for free, I can't aviod the tax issue (at least without consequences! :smug: ). Because we're both in Illinoins, it can't be avoided. I guesss it comes down to that age-old issue of supporting your local shop or saving a few dollars and going out of state to avoid tax.

What kind of nordies did you order, and what bass did you drop them into?

I ordered these after talking with Jay ...

The SEs were born out of necessity and have become one of the most popular and widely acclaimed Nordstrand pickup models to date. A hum-canceling split-coil jazz pickup, the SVs deliver that classic single coil tone but without the noise and 60 cycle hum that plague most true single coil designs. This set is SUPER growly with a slight boost in the midrage. They're great for the player that wants a hum-canceling pickup with a little boost and are excellent for fretless basses as well.

    NJ4SE set-$220
NJ4SE single pickup (neck or bridge)-$110

They are going in my black Fender 62 MIA Jazz RI ...
