Need to replace the blend pot on a Lakland preamp, figured that would be an easy find but jeeez, these things seem to be a rarity. Might try to contact Lakland, but I'd like to see if I can just buy one first somewhere, as a I need other stuff too.

I've found some solid shaft, but can't use that.
I've found some B50K, but this is A50K. Not sure of the difference.

So, I need a split shaft, A50K blend pot. Thank you!

Try Best Bass Gear, if they don't have it Max Kay may be able to help you.

BBG does not have it. They are one of 25 places I've looked so far :)

    B= linear, A= audio/log taper

So, all you need is a 50k audio taper blend pot. Should be fairly easy to find. The next question is: SAE or metric? 3/8" or 8mm bushing dia.?

Actually, if it's easier on you, i.e., you have one on hand or can get one locally, you could use a common 250 or 500k audio blend and run an appropriate resistor across it to make the pot a 50k. Just a thought.

EBay is where I found the A50k...from China. No B50k.

If I'm not mistaken you're looking for a single pot (not a common dual pot for balance/blend). I wonder what kind of circuit uses a log taper pot for blending.
Anyone knows how does the blend section of Lakland preamp work?

    Did you see these places:

You are probably better off not buying from him anyway. I sent the owner an email earlier this evening and asked him to do some work on one of my basses including switching pickups, pots and ordering a new pickguard. I live about 20 minutes from him and said that I would be willing to drop the bass off and pick it up. He responded by telling me that I would have to pay additional shipping costs for the pickguard because he buys them from WD. I can do that myself although I can't figure out why he is $10 cheaper than they are. He also said that his house is also his workshop and my presence there was unnecessary and unwanted. If I want him to work on my bass I have to ship it. I told him that I can find someone else since my business is unnecessary and unwanted.

In this case it should be AC50K (which is A50K+C50K).
Normally, a dual A50K pot wouldn't work properly for blend operation.

Don't know how I got that prev link in there...
But- check this (1/2W Dual Logarithmic Taper Potentiometers) pot,
(50K Dual Logarithmic Taper Potentiometer) down the page a bit at:
    http://www.futurlec.com/PotRot.shtml
'Logarithmic Taper' is Audio taper, I think.
Or maybe go V/V instead of V/B?

Those are for mounting on a pcb, not solder lugs, and don't have a center detent- at least not the dual 50k log taper. That's not really a blend pot in the way a bass/guitar would use it.
