Ahh. I could deal with the lugs but not with the lack of center detent. Thanks!
Really, I would just wait 'til tomorrow and call Lakland or Hanson directly and get the correct part. At first I thought it was a common pot, but since it obviously isn't, do it right, I say.
As always, acronyms.
Edit: Or if you emailed them now, they might get back to you first thing tomorrow morning. I'm sure that's one of their respective Monday morning priorities.
Yeah I have not contacted them yet, looks like that is the best bet!
This is what you want, although I don't know about how long the shaft needs to be.
Don't worry about solder lugs or straight pins. The only difference is that solder lugs are a smidge easier to solder.
Would this work:
with a add'l 25k resistor in series?
Well, not to keen on rigging something up with a resistor...or paying $50 for a pot
I contacted Lakland, a new blend pot is $18. I'm probably going to try the ones that icecycle linked to for 18 cents first. Specs all match, just not sure if it has a detent. I'm willing to risk 18 cents to see!
Also ask them is it dual A50K or A50K+C50K.
It's a Lakland preamp, not an EMG. Plus, EMG uses 25k blend pots.
Seems you are correct. I just checked with EMG and prior to 3 years ago when they did more hardwired stuff EMG did make 50k blend pots. And they are out of inventory now, I asked.
Does anyone know WHY lakland uses 50k blend pots? I'm doing a pickup swap and want to do 500K and was surprised to see 50K in there stock.
