Hey guys! I just received the Squier Bass VI that I've been waiting a few months for and I was wondering where the best place to get strings for it would be. I've seen Circle K and La Bella both have sets but I was hoping to put some flats on it. Anyone have experience with flats on a VI or know where to purchase some?

I convert 4 string Rickenbackers to 5 string basses.
  4. Sorry, my bad you wanted flats, LaBella is the only one I know of.
Wouldn't flats kill your ability to play chords?
Double stops with flats just sounds bad me. When I think Bass VI I think chords, maybe that's just me.

There's lots of good info in the Squier VI club thread, too.

Definitely La Bella for flats. I use Circle K, which I am very happy with, but I know a dude that uses the La Bella flats and they sound incredible. Monster player too.

    Fyi, the Circle K set that I use is: BVI-102 - 102 76 57 43 33 23p.

Using the .102, could it pass as a 'main' bass in a band? I want this to be my #1 bass for all situations.
