Where to scalp my tix?

    I've got some tickets to a show I'm not going to make. Is there a website any of you would recommend to SELL the tickets? Yes, I know ebay is the obvious and CL, but is there a site people go to specifically for tickets?

    I've already accepted I'm out the cost of the tickets, so any cash I can recoup from a LEGAL SALE would be worth it. Thanks,

    First, lose the term 'scalp'! Scalping indicates you are trying to profit from the sale of the ticket. That is illegal. You want to 'sell' the ticket at face value or lower.

    This is true. I have no intentions of breaking the law in any manner.

    As stated above, I already accept them as a loss, so making a profit is out of the question.

    Huh? There's no law against selling tickets for more than you paid for them, except usually at the venue. How do you think private ticket agencies make their money?

    If you're a true capitalist, you'll sell them for what the traffic will bear. Check StubHub to see what people are asking for them, and charge a comparable price. There's no reason for you to take a loss or even just break even if the tickets are desireable.

    The laws actually vary by state. Lots of stipulations depending on the state.

    Stubhub doesn't have this concert listed, so I couldn't find a way to post an add there. They want me to select from a list they already have.

    I've got them on Ebay, Craigslist and here. It's a shame because I really wan to go see them, but I can't justify spending all the extra loot it will cost since my buddies dropped out :scowl:
