Ok, I know they make their guitars out of the same material as my computer desk. And I know theyre cheap for the most part, but I can't help it, i love Danelectro Basses to death. I've played a couple longhorns and a DC and loved em. But now it seems like Dano is manufacturing nothing but effects, which I dont really like that much. Does anyone know whats going on with the company, any plans or future goals? I just want to know if I'll be able to get myself a new Dano bass, EVER again. Anyone with any info would help.
Here's a store in my neighbourhood that has two Hodads but since it's in Germany it won't help you I guess.
I sympathize with Aristotle, and I'm jealous of JMX... No Danos in any stores around here, and Hodads are next to impossible to find. I very much dig the unabashed cheapness of the first Longhorn re-issues, before they switched to the 'upgraded' bridge and tuners... Just good sounding basses with no apologies... I will own one someday! -robert
The discontinued the "old skool" hollow basses except for the long horn pro. Now they only produce the solid bodies. I've also been on the look out. I knew I should've bought one when Guitar Center was bowling them out for $99
