Ok, I know they make their guitars out of the same material as my computer desk. And I know theyre cheap for the most part, but I can't help it, i love Danelectro Basses to death. I've played a couple longhorns and a DC and loved em. But now it seems like Dano is manufacturing nothing but effects, which I dont really like that much. Does anyone know whats going on with the company, any plans or future goals? I just want to know if I'll be able to get myself a new Dano bass, EVER again. Anyone with any info would help.

I know that, its because they have long since updated their website. Try finding them new anywhere.

Here's a store in my neighbourhood that has two Hodads but since it's in Germany it won't help you I guess.

I sympathize with Aristotle, and I'm jealous of JMX... No Danos in any stores around here, and Hodads are next to impossible to find.

I very much dig the unabashed cheapness of the first Longhorn re-issues, before they switched to the 'upgraded' bridge and tuners... Just good sounding basses with no apologies... I will own one someday!

The discontinued the "old skool" hollow basses except for the long horn pro. Now they only produce the solid bodies.

I've also been on the look out. I knew I should've bought one when Guitar Center was bowling them out for $99
