if i get a 4x10" cab and hook it up to my combo 15" amp, will all the sound come out of just the cab or will the 15" speaker be used as well?
  2. IME, you'll get sound out of both the 4x10 and the 15" combo.
  3. Well, if your combo is designed so that you have to unplug the onboard speaker to make the jack available for the outboard cab, then no, the onboard one won't work. if there's a jack for plugging in a cab, and you onboard isn't already jacked in there, they you can probably supplement. but you might want to check your manual or even better TELL US WHAT YOU HAVE (name/ model) so you can get good advice. Ahem.

you're the guy with the Peavey TNT 115, right? if so, don't even bother, your amp doesn't have the power to drive a 4x10 to any useful level, and even if it's a 4 ohm cab it'll drop the overall load to 2 ohms...and that's asking more of even a Peavey than I'd care to do.
