    Hi All,

I'm in Sydney, Australia and we don't get the same variety of bass gear to test out as in America.

I have had a Lakland Deluxe 55-94 and was pretty happy with it, until it got stolen. Now I am on the search again for a 5 string. In the mean time, I have a friend's '74 Fender Jazz which I having a real good time with. But I still miss the 5th string for some other gigs that require that low B.

I've tried a Sadowsky standard 5 and that felt quite good. I would like to try a Metro UltraVintage range, lakland Joe Osborne 5 and Darryl Jones 5. Unfortunately, they don't ship out here unless your actually buying it.

Has anyone else tried all of these basses and come up with their own conclusion?

  2. Buy another 55-94? or if you're on a budget a skyline 55-02?

I have owned two Sadowsky 5ers - one NYC and one Metro, both were great. I recomend getting the VTC.
