    3. Ibanez BTB 406 QM
    4. Spector Legend 6

I've been thinking about a an Ibanez SR506 myself...

Nice bart pickups, cheap, well made. i like the narrow spacing because i have small hands and i wouldn't be slapping on it.

I also prefer the 34 inch scale because of my hands...

    my 2cents.

    cheers.

  7. Schecter, Spector or Peavey. I've had Dean's & Ibanizzi, deeply unimpressed with both. The Schecters seem very well made,& the Peaveys have their fanboys/girls.

At this price, a used Carvin may be worth looking at if you can get to play it first. I love my Corvette 6, but the new Warwicks are VERY variable and there are some real horrors out there.

I failed to mention that this list is arranged by price (new). The most expensive is the Schecter & Hohner and the least expensive is the Peavey.

I wasn't able to find a 6 string Yamaha in this price range (new). The most expensive basses on my list are $700. Which Yamaha were you thinking about? If there is one, I would quickly add it to my list.
