Which amp is for me?

    Hi everyone I am completely new to bass and amps and stuff. I am incharge of the sound at my church and have to buy a new bass amp but have no idea where to start.

    What i am looking for is something that can cope with being moved about a lot and can fill a large hall (with rubish acustics) with as good sound.

    Could anyone advise me as to what to look for in an amp

    As far as "being moved about", you shouldn't have any trouble with most any quality brands.

    Will this bass amp be supplemented through the churches P/A system? (If not, approximately how big is the room?)

    Are you thinking just a small bass combo appropriate for a small quiet-ish mellow church ensemble here, or a bigger head/cab setup more appropriate for a loud religious rock band type setting?

    Your budget will also have a huge bearing on any meaningful suggestions we could offer you...
