Which amp should I choose?

Am researching buying an amp to use for rehearsal and small gigs, dont want to be underpowered by am also tempted by the new range of lightweight combo amps. I had bought a GK mb210 but had to send it back due to damage so never got to use it with the band, but it seemed hard to get a tone I liked out of it. At present am looking at TC electronics BG500 (loud and cheap), the new BG250 (am v tempted due to weight/features) and also ibanez promeathean P5115K (also lightweight/powerful and a good offer at the moment). Dont really know enough about stacks but they seem to be a bit more pricey??? Would appreciate any help/feedback...
