Which Avatar-1X15 or 4X10?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by OVERDRIVEN66, Jun 9, 2005.

  1. I'm using a Hartke 5000 for my bass head and want to bi-amp it. Have a B210 for the highs. Which cab would be best for the lows on this setup, the 1X15 or the 4x10? I play crunchy rock stuff with an old Gibson Thunderbird and need a solid low end. Which cab is going to put out that 'break your ribs' low end and move the most air?

  2. You already have 10's, why not go for the 15 to get more of a mix?

Get the 115 or the 212. The 410 wont be much different from your 210.

I'd get a 212.The 115 won't move as much air as either the 410 or the 212.The 212 gets more bottom end than the 410 and moves about as much air.It sounds very good as a stand alone cabinet unlike the 115,the 115 isn't as tight sounding. The 115 and 210 would sound good together but the 212/210 would be louder, tighter and have as good a low end.Just my 2 cents.
