I'm considering replacing the electronics and pickups on my carvin. which preamp and pickups would work with the LB70 w/ HB2? it's basically a jazz pu on the neck and an MM in the bridge position, with 3 band eq, blend, volume (w/ passive option) and coil splitter for the MM pu.

Well, nobody else has responded, so I'll give it a shot. If the Carvin MM-type pup is the same size as a real MM pup (I think it is), then Bartolini's MM-style replacements would fit. The Carvin Jazz pups are the size of Fender Jazz Bass bridge pups, so the Bartolini Jazz bridge pups should work. As far as preamps, Bartolini offers three-band EQ with volume and blend pots, either pre-wired or not. Check their website at www.bartolini.net and check them out.
