I once had one that I traded for an Ibanez Atk1200 Prestige, I already as well traded

Anyway, maybe the most playable bass I've ever placed my guilty hands on, even if I'm talkin' about a 2010 version, so with present specs, except CS pickups, which I really don't dig

    Cheers,
    Wallace

Of those I find that I go to a J for most things, it is very versatile and will work for anything. My P would be second. Not as versatile, but will still work for anything. My Thunderbirds are great rock basses, but kind of a one trick pony.

    So in order:

    J
    P
    Thunderbird
    MM

The Warwick I've never played, and Rics just don't do it for me.

G&L L2000 and SB-2 for me. Throw in my G&L Legacy (P bass) too.

    I voted other.... Spector NS2/4.

But of the choices, I'd go Corvette ($$, of course)

Jazz for the neck, and for playing at home.
P for playing live or recording.
    Ric for looks.

I own all of those except the Warwick (though I did have a fretless Corvette at one point) and my favorite is my Precision, with the Jazz bass being a close second.

I lump the Rick, MM, and Thunderbird in 3rd place. They're all fantastic basses, but I could not see having any of those as my only bass. They all have a very specific feel and sound that while great, are not as versatile as the good old P or J bass.

I will also throw out that for the "other" option, the Spector NS-2 is an incredible bass.

  13. I'm a proud owner of that bass. I wasn't planning on purchasing it when I went to Guitar Center. I guess you can see it purchased me. My MIJ Jazz is starting to get jealous.

I chose Jazz, but it could be any of the first three in the list depending on what mood I am in.

Jazz for sound, playing and comfort. But the Ric for the Ric sound.

My Pedulla Pentabuzz is my baby at this point so I voted 'other', but as far as 'standard' basses go, my Fender Hwy One Jazz is my go to bass.
