it looks like just a p-bass but couldn't tell because it has 3 knobs with what appears to be just the p-bass pickup. Perhaps it's active?

Not sure of the exact bass, but the P-bass pickup is reversed as well.

It doesn't look very fender-ish either. But yeah what the last guy said as well.

I have that dvd, it's from bass day 98', that's a late 90's Fender P bass. Back then he was appearing in the fender ads in BP magazine.

never once saw a real fender precision with the coils reversed. i'd have to say that was not stock.

That P-bass is a Rocco Sig. I don't know if they ever really hit the market, so I guess Rocco's bass is the prototype.

Fender Japan made a similar one but perhaps very few or custom ordered only. It never appeared in catalogue.

Hmmm... when I was in a band that opened for TOP, him and I were both playing P-bass plusses (his was blond, as I recall; Mine was blueburst). Not that this has anything to do with the youtube, I just wanted to mention that I got to hang out with Rocco a bit one evening... many years ago!! :hyper:

I think that's indeed a Fender Rocco Prestia signature from the late 90s, it got discontinued pretty quick if I recall correctly.

The MIJ has both pu housings reversed.

The Prestia version has the D&G pu housing mounted on the other side of where the E&A housing is normally on a regular P.
  14. its rocco, wouldnt be suprised if it was a CS?

Yes you are right. :D And the Rocco Model had three controls and the output jack on side of the body, not on the pickguard. Perhaps it had an active electronics.
