I have one case for my basses, and an out of town show this coming Friday. I'm torn on which bass to take. My SUB has that bright Stingray sound that I think sounds great for my solos and helps to cut through better, but my new P-bass just sounded so good at practice, and it made it seem to sound natural with those progressions. I haven't gigged with the P-bass yet, but I also want to put in an SPB-3 in it, which I won't have before the show. So take a pick. Or both maybe?

If the P makes the lines sound more natural, than take the P. Do what's best for the band, not your solos.

I meant the P-bass blends in more with the sound of the band and doesn't stand out as much as the SUB. I love the sound of both, but I just can't decide.

Buy a GigBag (You'll need one sooner or later) or Borrow one and take both.

Its a Special Edition MIM. It has a natural finish and rosewood board, and satin finish neck. Very smooth playing, and the pickup is surprisingly good for a MIM. Very solid construction too.

Take them both. I'm paranoid, the weirdest things can happen. ;)

I have 3 basses out on this tour. A 5 and 2 fours.
  12. always bring a spare if you can, it sucks to be left high n' dry before a gig with a busted bass (personal experience)

Someone can steal both of your basses.... so you better take a good bass (or a few ones deppending on how many you own) to gig but not the best.
