Tough decision. You're not getting anything with either one, as the price range is a "quality-free" zone. I prefer the P-J pickup config., so I'd lean toward the Rogue at first, but I would NOT buy either without playing it for at least 15-20 min. at the music store first.
If nothing else, Fender is the biggest name in guitars - period. That may be enough to tip the scales, as they'll stand behind the build.
    Here are some Rogue reviews:

I would choose A. I had one (black) and it did well for years. But, I would choose one of these if your budget is under $150.00 http://www.rondomusic.com/bassguitars4.html. Or if your looking for a 5 string http://www.rondomusic.com/bassguitars5.html. This one looks nice http://www.rondomusic.com/ursa2rnqmdrds5.html. And this one looks cool http://www.rondomusic.com/product828.html. People swear that SX basses are the best budget/beginner basses you can buy. You can always go to craigslist and find a used bass for that price. I paid $150 for this bass http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Peavey-Millennium-BXP-4String-Bass-Guitar?sku=511369. I hope I helped. Just letting you know that you don't have to settle when your on a budget.

For $150 you'd be better off buying a decent quality used bass over a mediocre quality new one.

It's also rather odd that you posted a link to a P-bass, since a few days ago you said they were boring looking and you were going to get a Jag.

I voted A , but would recommend buying used, or a SX

  6. I voted B, simply because it wasn't just another Fender knockoff.

I voted A. I had a 5 string rogue I picked up about 8-10 years ago as a cheap first 5 string. Definitely worse than a squier. My drummer has a squier P that he picked up for $50. Not that great either. But better than the rogue.

Since you are in a "quality free zone" as already suggested, hands on playing is important. Quality control is uneven in this price range so you have to check out the one you buy in person. That said, the P bass clone is still a P bass. For better or worse it is a known sound and there are plenty of upgrades for it if needed. The Rogue is its own thing - which you might like better - or not. But the aftermarket options will probably be less extensive than for the P.
