i'd like to know which basses you have never played you'd like to try. here my list epiphone jack casady a fender jazz bass fretless equipped with a j retro preamp sadowsky 4 and 5 string a rick with horseshoe and toaster pickup a graphite neck bass ibanez musician old yamaha bb
Mike Lull, Graphite neck Stingray, Status Stealth 2 (the all, including body, graphite one.) Peavey Cirrus, Ken Lawerence, Sadowsky. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
I'd like to play Wals, Sei Bass, Sadowskys, Foderas, and Carl Thompsons in a stage setting, to see what they can do at a gig.
The only high-end basses I've been able to try out are Warwicks and a used Yamaha TRB5P. They don't carry many expensive basses in my country, they only bring them here if you ask for it. And then they expect you to buy it. So, on my list is every high-end bass that I haven't tried. Which means a couple of hundred models or so!
I have played quite a few basses so far in my short career, but I still would like to try a couple more: Warwick (anything) Lakland G & L Any other high end basses. All the stores around here carry basses that rarely go over $1,200-1,500. They all have Fender, MM, Peavey, Ibanez, and one or two Modulus. jtbp
well.. I'd love to try another CT Jerzy Drozd Wal Alembec Classico a Conklin Melted-Top a MID jack a Bass Lab Bass Ibanez SR1500 (dont make no more) the list goes on ....
Oh ya, a walnut carved 6-string upright would be amazing, I've never seen one but it would be amzing still
Zon Sadowsky Fodera (i played one once, but it was a long time ago) Alembic pre-CBS jazz bass Lakland Conklin 7string (although i don't know why, i can barely play a 6) jason
Fodera Anthony Jackson model F Bass Alain Caron 5 string John Turner's doubleneck Yvon's Tung some of those Basslab creations
Whoa, ok here we go: 7-Strings: Roscoe SKB3007 Conklin Sidewinder 7 Hanewinckel 7 Warrior Signature 7 6-Strings: F Bass BN6 and BNF 6 Fodera Imperial Elite 6 Warwick Thumb Neck-thru 6 5-Strings: Roscoe LG-3005 MTD 535 Lakland 55-94 Dingwall Afterburner 5 4-Strings: Carl Thompson 4 Kinal SK4-B Fretless Sadowsky Ultra Vintage J Spector NS-4P As you can see there is a lot. I want to play them all, but it is hard to play a lot of high-end US custom brands in Canada, as they wind up costing a fortune so stores don't usually stock the really good stuff, and Canadian luthiers can offer equally good products for significantly less (ie Dingwall, Kinal, F Bass...) as there is no exchange rate problems. What I've played: F bass BN5 and BNF5 Dingwall Prima 6, Z2 5, Zebra 6 Spector NS-6 Ken Smith BSR6EG and BSR5GN
Jason.. they had a pretty nice used Zon 5 (believe it was a Sonus Special) at ECmusic last year. No idea if it's still there. I'd like to try out: Czech Spector Gibson RD Artist Schecter Model T Rob Deleo Sig more Zons! Lakland MTD Roscoe
A Sadowsky 4-string, a Musicman Stingray, a Reverend Rumblefish, an Ibanez ICB500, a MIA Jazz and an 'A' Bass.
Kenneth Lawrence Chambrase Alain Caron F Bass Fodera Emperor II Curbow XT-33 Zon Hyperbass (Michael Manring model) Carl Thompson John's Doubleneck Basslab ...Then my mission will be complete Jeff
Allot of basses Mainly an Ibanez ATK405 I tried ATK305 but the j pup in the 405 must add some more sweetness.
I'd like to get my hands on a Zon and a Carl Thompson. Other than that, not much that I can immediatly think of.
