I got a GK 410 4ohm Neo 800 watt cab and I'm not sold this is as good as it gets. So what say you experts is the best cab for the GK Fusion 550, I'm thinking maybe 212's? I have zero brand loyalty so all are fair game. Main use will be Jazz and Classic Rock with a little Blues tossed in. Doesn't need to be super loud but flexibility would be nice. Maybe the 8ohm GK Neo would be a better fit?
I have not played them but have read many posts that the NEO410's lean towards boomy? I use the NEO412 or NEO212 II with mine. I started with the 412, but it was just too big (and too loud) for the smaller gigs. If I started over I would most likely go with two 212s. The NEO 12's are great sounding cabs and take EQ very well without being overly expensive. I enjoy being able to use the HMS (biamp) so that means G-K cabs unless you are comfortable rewiring cabs.
I've been kicking around the 212's. I would like to be able to use the Bi-amp feature at least to try it out and see what it's all about. If I don't find the sound I want out of this I guess it's all tube for me.
