Kind of hard to decide what's best for you when all we know is that you have a 2x10 already and that's it.

    That depends.

What kind of sound are you after and what kind of music is it? What are the 1x15 and 4x10 cabinets you're looking at, as well as your current 2x10?

well the cabs ive been looking at was gk backlines and berginer. my 2x10 cab is custom made (1/2 of 2x15 peavey with 15 thrahsed (not black widow) and rep[laced with 2x10 car speakers tha handle 750 each) and my head is a gk backline 600.

rush covers (more going after the jazz sound of geddy)

I don't even SEE the GK Backline 600 listed on their site.
Personally, I really dig Eden 10's with GK amplification. However, because there's no way of knowing how your current cab sounds, I won't make a recommendation for a match.

Forget that 210! Car speakers are not for musical instrument cabs, 'nuff said.

Reliability and quality of Behringer gear is questionable enough (search) that I wouldn't spend my money for one.

Get a 4 ohm GK410 rated at between 300 and 600W RMS (I'm assuming your amp is 600W RMS into a 4 ohm load).

Just curious... how does that 2x10 sound with the car speakers? Many here at TB say that only bass guitar speakers should be used so I have decided to play it safe and follow their advice. But if you are running car stereo drivers I am curious about the sound characteritistics of your cab.

oh and i found some cool formatting stuff on tb too:smug:

actually the car speakers sounds VERY good and the gk backline 600 is very new and its only 300 watts.

I voted for the 4x10. Personally I am not a big fan of the fifteen inch speaker. For me they seem outdated and not as efective as 10 and 12 in speakers. I still see many people using them, but I havn't found one that I like yet.

Two fifteens and tweeters should give you a rich full sound.

i'm looking for the "get a bass guitar cabinet and get rid of the car speaker cab that isn't built to the T/S parameters of those speakers anyway, and besides those speakers aren't anywhere near optimal for bass and if they were all the leading bass cabinet manufacturers would be using car speakers now wouldn't they?" option.

Get a 410. It will look cooler on stage than a 115.

Car Toys is having a HUGE car audio sale this weekend if you need to grab some speakers and a couple sub boxes. Who needs these overpriced "bass guitar speaker cabinets" anyway. :eyebrow:

ok well will a 4 ohm 4x10/300 watt head be loud enough in a place about 1/2 size of a highschool gym, if so ill just stick with a single 4x10 and put my "custom cab" in my car
