I am basically clueless about the different providers here...so could someone list pros and cons and their opinion as to which service i should get...my current contract is with ATT and that expires in August

  2. I've been using AT&T and there has been no problems yet, very good service... The one cell company I have heard complaints from is Cingular... Other wise not too sure.

  3. I think a large part of it depends on where you are, and the places you'll be going to a lot where you'll want your cell phone to work.

My brother and I both use Cingular, and it's great for just about everywhere in California that we've been, and it's pretty good up in Washington, too. I don't know about anywhere else, since I haven't been to any other states since getting my cell phone.

My cousin just switched to Verizon from AT&T because AT&T doesn't have very good service around the USC campus area, which is where my cousin will be a lot for the next 4 or 5 years.

I would suggest asking people who live/frequent the place(s) where you live and/or will go to a lot, and see what they have to say about specific cell phone services. :)

  4. I use cingular, and the phone works almost NOWHERE. I can't even use it most of the time when I want to. I have to leave my house just to get a somewhat intelligble signal.
