Which Darkglass Alpha Omega model?

    Hi chaps,

    I think I've settled on getting one of the Alpha Omega / Omicron pedals, but wanted some ideas on which one to choose. I have a 3 band active bass with sweepable mid (good East preamp in it) + I'll be going through a GK MB800 Fusion amp with TKS 12 + 12 + 6 speaker.

    Just wondering if you thought the Omicron would suffice, given the eq options I already have, or if there are still advantages in going for the Alpha Omega pre amp or Ultra. What's your experience?

    I want it for a mixture of live and recording stuff, playing in psychedelic heavy rock, heavy rock and classic rock bands. The last of those involves wearing lederhosen. I doubt that's material though...

    I use the AOU with MB800, and it's perfect for live use, I'll set my tone with the AOU and send that to the soundguy, then if I need a different sound through my cab (which acts as a monitor) I can adjust the MB800 to taste.
    The Omicron is great too, but I only use it in front of another preamp
