Okay guys..I've decided my next bass is going to be either of these two so here I go, Epiphone TBird IV, Epiphone EB-3 I pretty much like both the designs of the basses but I wanna find out what you guys think of their differences and which is more worth it. Theyre around the same price if Im not wrong. Cheers and Happy New Year in Advanced!
My vote would be for the EB-3. I played one a while back and really liked it. You can get a lot of different tones out of that guy due to: Massive Humbucker at the neck. Nice and warm. A very Jazz sounding mini-Humbucker at the bridge. A 3 way varitone switch and Individual volume and tone controls for each pickup. I've also liked the look of them since I was a kid. I haven't played the T-bird, but, I think it safe to say that the EB-3 would be much more versatile. The EB-3 also has a nice thin Jazz bass type neck, though it has a flatter profile than a Fender type neck. The EB-3 also has one of the worst neck dive reputations going because of the small body, but, I think this is a small problem that you'd get used to quickly. Good luck. Mike
