Which Fender bass should I choose?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by greendayjustin, Jun 30, 2004.

  1. I am selling a guitar to possibly buy another bass. Should I get a Mike Dirnt signiture bass or a MIJ 70's RI precision bass in Olympic white? I am a big Green Day fan, but the MIJ is looking real nice too...Thanks for any help!!

Definitely the MIJ Reissue. I hear great things about those and they look so nice. I love Japanese Fenders, basically the only kind I'd ever buy.

  3. Geddy Lee jazz.

    MIJ, $650 new.*

Mike Dirnt. I played one and was really impressed with it. It packs a really nice punch. I can see myself picking one up in the future.

ANd thank you so much for not asking about the Mark Hoppus bass.

  8. Get the Dirnt in black. I think it looks awesome. Or a Geddy Lee Jazz like Kaz said.

  9. Yeah, thats another thing, the Mike Dirnt bass is already modified...something I would be planning to do with the MIJ.

Of the two that you are asking about, I don't think you can make a wrong decision. I haven't heard either bass, but the Mike Dirnt P bass sure looks nice.
