Well my two options are Stew Macs or LMIs. Stew Macs kit comes with more stuff, but is it really worth getting? Which do you guys think a beginner with zero fretting tools and experience should get?

The LMI kit comes with Fretwire cutters, Fret Hammer, Gurian Fret File, F3 3 corner file, and a Fret Height Gauge for $112.55

Or Stew Macs kit with Fret Cutter, Fretting Hammer, Fret Leveling Files - 6" length, double-edge Fret File - Medium / Large (Jumbo) , Fret End Dressing File, Fret Dressing Stick - Dressing Stick with 8 belts (2 of each grit), Fret Rocker, Fret Work Step By Step book for $155.52

  2. the stewmac one, you gonna need a fret end dressing file anyway, and if you've never done it before a book would help a lot, plus it's alot more stuff for not alot more bucks, methinks.

  3. I think StewMac as well. Plus you get a guide to help start you off.

The Stew Mac one is the better bargain for the beginner, without a doubt.
