Hey i was thinking of upgrading my practice amp to one of these

    Ampeg B1REU 300watts
    Mag600 head 575watts
Swr workong pro 400 400 watts

Can someone tell me which one is best and tell me a good cabinet to go with it. I like to play funk. Im only 14 so i was thinking of spending around $2000 australian dollars

    Thanks in advance

I Bought the SWR WorkingPro 400 today along with a Hartke VX410, very nice sounding rig. I played through the GK 400RB combo whichwasnt all that good with my bass, and the Warwick Profet 5.1 Head with the same cab. Only problem is that i have to wait until tuesday before it gets delivered, but yer that came to $1900

  3. I would choose the Ashdown personally but also look into Genz Benz heads, awesome for the pirce as well GK heads. www.basscentre.com.au can do good deals on GK and Ashdown BTW.

As for cabs I would look at a Genz Benz neo212 or one of their 410 cabs.

I like the SWR sound. Very crisp and modern. :bassist:
